Well, “Jackies” is derived from the phrase “Jack Your Body.” This phrase became popular with the song “Jack Your Body” by Steve “Silk” Hurley, released in 1986. This track is one of the first hits in house music and was pioneering in introducing the word “Jack” as a fundamental term in the language of this genre.
